Tumescent Liposuction
Tumescent liposuction represents the very best in safety and excellence. A dilute anesthetic solution is first injected into the fatty tissue, causing the area to become tumescent (firm and swollen). Then a tiny straw-like instrument called a micro-cannula is inserted into the fat compartment under the skin, which enables the surgeon to gently loosen and remove unwanted fat deposits. This method allows for the safe and effective removal of large amounts of fat uniformly, with few skin irregularities, minimal bleeding and bruising, and little post-operative discomfort. Liposuction can also be used to remove sweat glands from the underarms as a permanent solution for those who suffer from excessive sweating.
